In what is considered a big blow to Pakistan’s cricket fans of having full-fledged international cricket matches back to Pakistan, as 10 Sri Lankan cricketers said no to play in Pakistan as they still fear for life because of Pakistan’s terrorism. This decision was taken after a meeting between the players and the Sri Lankan cricket board, that included the top players like Malinga, Angelo Mattews, Dimuth Kaunarathe.

Sri Lanka is scheduled to have bilateral series in Pakistan against the host, that included 3 one day and 3 20-20 matches which is supposed to be played between Sept 27- Oct 9.

Since 2009 terrorist attack on Sri Lankan team, wherein the team’s bus was attacked by a gunman in Lahore and from that time Pakistan has become an isolated destination for international cricket as no country would like to risk their player’s life by playing in Pakistan.
